Why Do Pianos Go Out of Tune?

A piano contains more than 200 strings under high tension. Small changes in humidity and temperature affect the wooden structure of the piano, especially the soundboard and tuning pin stability.
Even if the piano is not being played regularly, it will still slowly go out of tune over time.
This is completely normal and happens to all upright and grand pianos.
